“SHEATH YOUR SWORD AND JOIN HANDS WITH ME” – IKPEAZU TELLS OTTI
Following the pronouncement of the Election petition Tribunal in Umuahia earlier on Friday upholding the election of governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the later has appealed to his two time contender, Dr. Alex Otti to desist from further contesting the result.
The governor who stated this while reacting to the victory he got from the tribunal, said he already has about five candidates in the last election contributing to his policy to make the state better.
“Once again i seize this opportunity to extend my hands of fellowship to the APGA candidate and others who contested in that election. As i speak, about five candidates have come to participate in our policy making in trying to fashion out a good direction for Abia in the next four years. I therefore want to invite the APGA candidate to sheath his sword and respect the will of the people and join in the onerous task of building a new Abia,” he said.
He said he was rededicating his victory at the governorship election petition tribunal to Abian citizens who gave him the mandate.
The governor equally entrusted himself to the service of Abia people and assured to be more ruthless in pursuing his vision for the state.
In his words, “we are going to be far more committed and dedicated..we are going to be very ruthless in the pursuit of our vision and our focus and our agenda to make Abia a better place for Abians.”
