The Independent National Electoral Commission has finally issued former governor Rochas Okorocha with his certificate of Return as senator elect for Imo West senatorial zone.

A federal High court last Friday ordered the electoral umpire to present the plaintiff (Okorocha) his certificate of Return which it seized unlawfully.

INEC had delisted the former governor from those it issued certificates to certify them duly elected based on the claim of the returning officer for that election who said he declared Okorocha winner under duress.

Earlier Tuesday, he was denied access into the senate chamber for the inauguration on the ninth Assembly.

INEC after its meeting this Tuesday, reached a decision to obey the order of Okon Abang.

He would have to wait for the senate to reconvene for his own swearing in to take place.

The commission also twitted on its official handle that it has complied with the court directive on Imo West senatorial election.
