AISHA BUHARI’S ADC HANDED BACK TO THE POLICE BY THE DSS OVER FRAUD.
CSP Sani Mohammed Baba, the ADC to the Nigerian first lady, Aisha Buhari, has been released to the police,by the Department of state security (DSS) has said.
The DSS had been investigating the ADC to the wife of the president over allegations of fraud after several outcry by the public.
According to a statement by the DSS’ spokesman, Peter Afuanya, Sani has been handed over to the police for further administrative action.
Allegations brought against him according to the statement, were defamation of character, and unduly using his office to extort and obtain money from sources.
He was also alleged to have carried out illegal and unethical activities in the name of the wife of the president on whose behalf he falsely claimed to have acted.
“Investigations however disclosed that he was never at any given time or circumstance, directly or indirectly, instructed by the First Lady to act or collect in her name, money or any material gifts from any person or group of persons,” Afunanya said.
The statement further stated, “in line with the standard procedures expected in handling a matter of this nature, Baba-Inna is returned to the police for appropriate regimental action, accordingly, the details of the investigation report have also been forwarded to the relevant authorities.”
On the 22nd September, 2018, Baba was handed over to the DSS by the police authorities for detailed investigations into the allegations of fraud levelled against him.
