IMO LAW MAKERS JOIN UCHE NWOSU IN AA.
Chinwe Ugele. Umuahia.
17 legislators of the Imo state House of Assembly have formally decamped from their political parties and pitched tents with the Action Alliance,( AA).
This is coming on the heels of the defection of Chief Uche Nwosu, Chief of Staff and son in law to Governor Rochas Okorocha to the same party.
The law makers are from All Progressive Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic party (PDP).
The speaker of the state Assembly announced the said defections on Thursday on the floor of the house during an emergency sitting.
The decamped members constitute those who failed to secure tickets to fly the flag of their parties in either PDP or APC in the 2019 elections.
Owelle Rochas Okorocha has also declared support for his son in law as he pursues his aspirations to govern the state on the platform of the AA, his(Okorocha) senatorial ticket in APC not withstanding.
Okorocha and his son in law will have to test the waters to see how popular the candidature of Nwosu is for seat of the governor from a brand new platform.
