ACTING MD NDDC WALKS OUT ON HOUSE OF REPS PANEL
The Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), KEMEBRADIKUMO Pondei has walked out on the House of Representatives investigative panel on the commission.
He appeared before the panel on Thursday but requested that the chairman of the house committee on NDDC, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, should not preside.
He said Tunji-Ojo had been linked in the alleged fraud at the NDDC and so cannot sit over the same matter which he is a suspect.
Members of the committee consequently issued an arrest warrant against the NDDC acting MD and other members of the interim management committee.
The former NDDC MD had thursday morning been placed on house arrest by some security operatives who besieged her residence in Port Harcourt but was duly rescued by governor Nyesom Wike who personally went to her place.
