PROF. GREGORY IBE FOUNDATION COMMENCES SECOND PHASE PALLIATIVE DISTRIBUTION

Professor Gregory Ibe foundation has made arrangements for the second phase of distribution of palliative items to the indigent in the state.
The first phase was carried out weeks back where the foundation donated ambulances, thermometers food items to the state government and two local governments to cushion effects of the lockdown cause by covid-19.
This time around, 15 LGA’s have been shortlisted for the programme.
It will also be a direct physical palliative distribution.
They include; Ukwa East, Ukwa Ukwa West, Ugwunagbo, Aba North, Aba South, Osisiọma, Obingwa, Isiala Ngwá North, Isiala Ngwá South, Umuahia South, Umuahia North, Ikwuano, Bende, Ohafia and Arochukwu local government areas.
The representatives of these communities are expected to be at the University sports complex on the days scheduled for their collection.
There will be food items ranging from rice, beans, yams noodles, etc to be given out to the beneficiaries.
According to a statement by the chairman and Head of media of the foundation Prince Emeka Okafor and Ogbonnaya Sleek Ogwo, other organisations invited for the flag off of the programme are Online Media Practitioners Association (OMPAN), Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nigeria institute of Public relations, ABIA among others.
There wi however be strict adherence to all existing COVID-19 protocols including but not limited to wearing of face masks, use of hand sanitizers and adoption of the social distance regime throughout the duration of the exercise as non compliance will lead to immediate disqualification from the exercise.
Leadership of the invited groups are required to present valid identification tokens
