WOMAN SEEKS DIVORCE FROM COURT AFTER HUSBAND POURED “CAMEROON PEPPER” INTO HER VAGINA.
“I did not pour pepper, I only poured sauce”
A woman, Mrs Florence Nworie from Amaeka community in Ezza South LGA of Ebonyi state, is demanding for divorce of her husband from the court for allegedly pouring pepper into her vagina.
The 20 years old marriage may just be on the verge of collapse after the woman filed for divorce in suit number FLC/015/2019 before the Ebonyi State family Law center in Abakiliki.
Florence had claimed that in November 2018, her husband known as Peter Nworie aged 45 with some of his kinsmen, accosted her at a market and forcefully dragged her to their family house having ran away from them since three years now.
She also disclosed that her reason for leaving her matrimonial home was as a result of all the physical and emotional abuses she got from her husband.
She alleged that she was tied up after her husband stripped her naked, beaten mercilessly and still went ahead to insert “Cameroon peppers” inside her vagina and finally left her in the empty room without food for days.
She is also accusing her husband of failing in his duty to cater for her and their children, adding that he even demands the full account of her mining business.
But in his response, the husband, Peter turned around to accuse the wife of promiscuity.
According to him, the reason she left the house to rent an apartment elsewhere was to enable her carry on with her “adultery”, claiming that their second son was not his biological child.
The man did not deny dragging his wife to the house, as he boasted that he legally married her and is permitted under tradition to treat her as such.
He confirmed that he also tied and beat her up because she attempted to “dislodge my penis” .
Mr. Nworie however denied pouring pepper into the wife’s vagina, saying it was only sauce he poured on her body.
The chairman of the Ebonyi state Family law Centre, Abakiliki, Mrs. Elizabeth Nwali ordered for the invitation of eye witnesses and parents as well as relations of the couple during the next date of hearing.
Meanwhile, the center has also directed that the under aged children of the couple be kept in the custody of the wife, while the husband will be responsible for their upkeep.
The case was adjourned to the 14th of March, 2019 for further hearing.
