2019 ELECTIONS: NAWOJ SENSITIZES THE ELECTORATE.
Says no to vote buying and violence.

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists in Abia state has conducted a sensitization exercise within Umuahia the state capital on the expectations of the forth coming general election.
The group walked round Umuahia metropolis carrying placards with various inscriptions such as ‘Say no to violence’ ‘Say no to vote buying’ among others.
The chairman of the association, Mrs. Beatrice Okezie Odoemelam harped on the need for every eligible voter to move to the polling units on the election days to cast their votes for their preferred candidates.
She said people should exercise their franchise and avoid any call to sit at home while the fate of millions of citizens are being decided.
She advised parents to restrain their children from being used by the politicians as agents of destabilisation.
Also some ex and serving officers of the group, such as Mrs Tina Ikwuegu, Josephine Ogwo, Glory Abiakam and Henrietta Ashikodi joined in the call for people to shun violence during the elections.
They prayed for a peaceful and credible exercises.
The women journalists matched round the major roads of the city and as well as the Broadcasting corporation of Abia statke and Love FM radio station.
