ABIA PDP KICKS OFF CAMPAIGNS WITH MINI RALLY

The People’s Democratic Party(PDP) in Abia state on Monday flagged off its 2019 campaigns for the various state constituencies.
The 24 candidates of the party for the state constituencies were at the International Conference Centre, venue for the mini rally handed over flags to further authenticate their candidature.
The state chairman of the party, Johnson Onuigbo who presented the flags to the candidates, charged them to begin aggressive vote hunting, saying they have been empowered to do so henceforth.
He also announced that the governorship flag and those of the National Assembly will be handled by the National Working Committee in due course.
Chief Onuigbo during an interview, declared that his party had all it takes to win all the elective positions in the state.
“PDP will win 98% at the polls, maybe we will leave 2% for them,” he said.
The chairman also condemned the attack on a media outfit, Daily trust, recently by the military saying, “it is a dictatorial government, what do you expect? Until a new government of the PDP is put in place, things will continue the way they are.
The event had in attendance, the governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, his deputy, sir Udeh Oko- Chukwu, the speaker of the state house of Assembly and some members of the House, some House of Representatives members, party elders and supporters who chanted in support of their preferred candidates.
