Imo state governor, owelle Rochas Okorocha has declared that the issues within the All Progressive s Congress in the state cannot be managed.

He was addressing the reconciliation committee led by governor of Kano state, Abdulahi Ganduje when they called on him in Owerri.

Okorocha believes that his state has suffered the worst political injustice inflicted by the national chairman of the party, adams Oshiomole.

He said that Oshiomole brazenly “stole the mandate of Imo people”, and gave tickets to non APC members.

He regretted that the national chairman forgot about his contribution in making him the party’s chairman and went ahead to destroy the party in the state.

The governor swore not to leave the party based on principles, as he has faith in the president and would work to see him re-elected come 2019. “Against all speculations that I am leaving the APC, it’s not true, all the state and local government executives are in tact”, he said.

He however stated that “we have done everything to resolve the issue but it appears to have gone beyond repair, the situation at hand has gone beyond what we can manage”.

There are indications that Okorocha’s son in law, Uche Nwosu who is laying claim to the governorship ticket of the APC has concluded plans to formally defect to the Democratic People’s Party with his supporters and other aggrieved aspirants of the party.

Moves to convince APC candidates for various elective positions in the state to defect with Nwosu, failed since they already successfully secured their tickets with the APC.
