ABIA GETS NEW CP AS OGBIZI PROCEEDS ON TRANSFER TO FORCE HEADQUARTERS.

A new commissioner of police, Chris Ezike has officially resumed duties in Abia state following the transfer of CP Anthony Ogbizi by the Inspector General of police.
In a brief ceremony at the police headquarters in Umuahia, Ogbizi appreciated the IGP, for assigning the task of managing a state command to him 14 months ago, and stated that he was happy to have served in that capacity well, “leaving the state better than I met it.”
He thanked the officers and men of the command for their support to him and urged them to render even better support to the new commissioner in the fight against crime in Abia state.
He described the new Cp, as a very articulate and experienced person who can improve on his achievements to make the state crime free.
On his part, CP, Chris Ezike, pledged to dedicate himself to the security of the state to the “best of my ability”.
He enjoined the police senior officers to get him details of the operations as well as inventories of all the equipment they have in the command.
CP Anthony Ogbizi came to Abia state some 14 months ago to take over from Leye Oyebade in the heat of IPOB activities in Umuahia and environs.
