3 MEMBERS OF THE ISLAMIC MOVEMENT IN NIGERIA (IMN), KILLED BY THE NIGERIA ARMY.
No fewer than 3 members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria on Monday lost their lives during an alleged attack of some soldiers and policemen by the sect on Kugbo/Karu checkpoint.
Soldiers numbering about 4 were also supposedly injured during the attack according to the headquarters of the Nigeria Army.
The Islamic sect members were said to have over ran the men of the Nigeria police force and went ahead to use their intimidating numbers to force their way through the army checkpoint.
It is not clear yet who released weapons at the other first, but stones,cannisters guns and slings were used during the attack.
It is also uncertain to determine whether the sect members shot at the soldiers.
However, it is an established fact that the soldiers shot at the protesters which led to the death of 3.
The Nigeria Army in its Twitter handle confirmed that their men only sustained minor injuries.
The soldiers in collaboration with the police repelled the protesters with live bullets .
According to the NA, the situation has since been brought under control, and urged residents of Abuja and environs to go about their business without fear of molestation.
